Liberty Island & the Statue of Liberty Museum

For over 100 years the Statue of Liberty has stood as a symbol of hope & freedom.

Frederic Auguste Bartholdi designed the copper statue which stands 12 stories tall atop a pedestal created by renowned American architect Richard Morris Hunt. Its supporting skeleton was devised by the builder of the Eiffel Tower, Gustave Alexandre Eiffel himself.
